Fellowship of Reconciliation

The Fellowship of Reconciliation (FOR-USA)—the oldest interfaith peace and justice organization in the United States—has been the US branch of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation’s (IFOR) global peace network since 1915. FOR-USA’s rich legacy is linked to some of the leading voices in the civil rights and peace movements, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King, Thich Nhat Hanh, Bayard Rustin, Adolfo Perez Esquivel, Muriel Lester and James Lawson

In recent years, FOR USA has struggled with adapting to a very different social and political landscape in which disagreements as well as generational and racial divides exist and identifying how FOR can have impact at a time of diminished institutional resources.

McG-Media was brought in to create a Brand Discovery and Research analysis and offer recommendations moving forward. The resulting 50+ page report outlined numerous organizational deficits along with research about allied organizations and best practices.

This initial report led to hiring McG Media in an ongoing capacity to assist in  strategic thinking and communications.

“Moving seamlessly from big-picture strategic thinking to smaller scale content creation, McG Media has become an invaluable addition to our organization. Consultant, thought partner, writer, producer etc, Bill McGarvey combines enormous creativity across multiple media platforms with a deep awareness of our mission and history. His contributions have challenged us to grow our own vision of how our 100-year-old organization can operate in the new millennium.”

Rev. Dr. Emma Jordan-Simpson Executive Director, Fellowship of Reconciliation, USA
